III. The Making of a Medium Music Series:
Coming Soon: Twenty-six masterpieces from the 18th and 19th centuries were transcribed by the Verdehr Trio for the
violin-clarinet-piano trio and are found on Blue Griffin Recordings. These transcriptions will be available in printed form in early 2022.
A previous collaboration with the Michigan State University Press resulted in editions of works by David Alpher, William Averitt,
Paul Chihara, Charles Hoag, David Diamond, James Niblock and Charles Ruggiero. The above music is available from Meridian Winds

The year 2012-2013 marked the beginning of the 40th year anniversary of the Verdehr Trio.
Beginning in the summer of 2012 and continuing through 2015, the Trio adopted a new form of programming.
The concerts were specifically designed to showcase the repertoire of the violin-clarinet-piano trio
repertoire created by the Verdehr Trio by largely presenting selected movements rather than complete pieces.
This made it possible to perform more diverse works to show the and contrast of the repertoire. |
